The Following is criteria for working on the Citizens Re-Inspection Program
An Inspection Management Company is a proven inspection management company that
has previous inspection management experience in managing a network of qualified
inspectors and delivering qualified inspection reports that have passed through
in-house quality assurance processes. The Inspection management company will be
responsible for the delivery of qualified inspection reports based on assignments
from Inspection Depot, through the Citizens Property Insurance Inspection Outreach
Program.
Independant field inspection companies may also participate in Citizens Property
Insurance Corporations re-inspection program providing they meet similar requirements
below. Outsourcing of customer service support is permitted providing the same level
of service is available to Inspection Depot. Insurance requirements must match that
listed below for the Inspection Company. Single operator inspection companies wishing
to comply with Citizens Property Insurance Requirements for new policy inspections
can participate as either an Inspection Company or Independent Field Inspection
Company.
Here are the requirements for an Inspection Management Company that must be submitted
as part of the application process.
- Completed application process for Inspection Management Company with back up references
and documents as needed.
- Signed Statement of Work and Contract.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven inspection management experience.
(Provide Corporate Filing information/Corporate Profile with references.)
- Provide/meet minimum insurance requirements. (See Below)
- Have ability to comply with all systems and procedures.
- Have ability to meet minimum capacity commitments.
- Network of already qualified field inspectors.
- In place Employment Contract (for all staff working in program) to comply with program
requirements.
- Customer service call center support capabilities for communication with agents,
carriers and homeowners alike, pre and post inspection.
(Note: At least one dedicated staff member for customer
service.)
- Permanent office in the state of Florida for accessibility, file storage, customer
service etc. with all staff meeting minimum same security requirements, background
checks, etc. to comply with security of data being reviewed.
(Note: For offices outside Florida, auditing and office
inspection by Inspection Depot will be at the sole expense of applicant and must
be prepaid prior to the agreed Inspection Management Company audit date.)
- Notarized affidavit disclosing previous inspection experience and number of years
in the inspection business.
- Completed confidentiality, non-solicitation and other restrictive covenants to ensure
the privacy and confidentiality of all data.
- Agreement to allow Inspection Depot Inc. to conduct independent audit for compliance
on all systems and procedures, files, etc.
The Inspection Management Company will be responsible for the management, recruitment
and training of all field inspectors and to ensure compliance to standards and procedures
including that of its respective field inspector's work and processes. Inspection
Management Company or Field Inspector's clearance for approval on the Third
Party Administrator application and Approved Vendor Network will not be gained until
such time as all minimum requirements have been met and confirmed by Inspection
Depot, Inc.
Insurance Needed
The Inspection Management Company will maintain at its sole expense the following
insurance, purchased from an insurer licensed to transact business in the state
of Florida:
- Worker's Compensation policies which provide coverage for Vendor's employees
or independent contractors' employees, regardless of the state of hire, in at
least the minimum statutory limits required by the state of Florida, and Employers'
Liability with limits of $1,000,000;
- Commercial General Liability with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence
(to include contractual liability on a blanket basis for liability assumed hereunder)
and $2,000,000 in the aggregate;
- Automobile Liability with combined single limits of not less than $1,000,000
per accident;
- Umbrella/excess general liability and auto liability insurance with minimum limits
of $4,000,000 in the aggregate;
- Professional Liability (errors & omissions) with minimum limits of $2,000,000
per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate.
- A Blanket Employee Dishonesty Bond from a surety or insurer currently licensed in
Florida with no less than an A rating by A. M Best, in an amount no less than $100,000
per occurrence to cover any acts of dishonesty committed by Inspection Management
Company's employees or independent contractors hired by Inspection Management
Company, its affiliated inspection companies or any other Inspection Company subcontracted
by Inspection Management Company to indemnify Inspection Depot for any damages incurred
due to such acts. Prior to performing services, Inspection Management Company will
obtain such bond and will provide a copy to Inspection Depot for review and approval.
A current in-force certificate of insurance evidencing the above coverage limits
must be submitted to Inspection Depot with this application and at least annually
thereafter. Inspection Management Company further agrees that it will maintain insurance
to cover any indemnity obligation that it has assumed under this Agreement. All
policies of insurance referenced herein will be primary and will include Inspection
Depot, Inc. as an additional insured with the exception of Worker's Compensation.
All policies will include provisions that the insurers waive the rights of recovery
or subrogation against Inspection Depot, Inc. and Inspection Depot, Inc. shall be
exempt from, and in no way liable for, any sum of money which may represent a deductible
in any of the aforementioned insurance policies. The payment of such deductible
shall be the sole responsibility of the Inspection Management Company. The Inspection
Management Company shall provide evidence to Inspection Depot that all employees
and/or independent contractors of Inspection Management Company are "Covered
Persons" under Inspection Management Company's insurance policy for purposes
of negligent or wrongful acts conducted in the scope of his/her adjusting services
on behalf of Inspection Depot, in addition to Workers Compensation coverage.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Please complete the entire application online. Once complete one of HR representatives
from Inspection Depot will be in contact with you, and will provide all additional
paperwork from your completion and submission.
Inspection Management company Application Fee = $ 500
Field inspector fee at time of application = $35 / inspector
The Inspection Management Company’s fee includes the application review process,
independent office audit and a one-time train the trainer program, which will be
conducted on dates set by Inspection Depot. Inspection Management Company will have
the ability to send two representatives to participate in the training program,
one of which should be a member of the Inspection Management Company’s quality assurance
department.
Application fees do not include field inspector drug testing, background checks,
training, etc.
All application fees are non-refundable.
